Most of this training is based on Krav Maga combative strikes and self-defense techniques against violent assaults. Additionally, trainees will learn basic pain compliance and joint manipulation techniques, rooted in Aikido, Jiu-Jitsu and Judo. Trainees are taught to manage situations where losing is not an option and will learn to neutralize the threat enabling a rapid and safe escape. In addition to learning combatives such as punches, kicks, knees, elbows, head butts, you will learn to defend against common attacks (punches, kicks, chokes, grabs). The basics of ground fighting and ground defense techniques are taught early on, shaping a strong offense and defense on all levels.
What to Wear:
Wear comfortable gym clothes (we recommend sweat pants and short sleeve t-shirt). We ask that you clean off the bottoms of your training sneakers and bring them with you to change in to (we do not wear street-worn shoes on our training surface).
What to bring:
Bring water to drink and a small towel to wipe off with (you will sweat, our training is intense!).
What to expect:
During your intro class you will warmup, learn and practice Combative Strikes, and Self Defense techniques. You will practice on our professional-grade pads, and with other students. There is no sparring in our lower level programs, but you will learn the basic elements of dynamic, real-world fighting.
We look forward to seeing you soon!
